Romans have reason to be proud of their public school systems. The Rome City School system (enrollment of 5,300) as well as the Floyd County School system (enrollment of 10,000) place strong emphasis on providing the finest in curriculum, facilities and positive learning environment available. Both systems have strong parental interest that is shown by very active PTA and Booster club participation.

Information regarding enrollment:

A child must be 6 years of age on or before September 1 to enter first grade.
A child must be 5 years of age on or before September 1 to enter Kindergarten.
