New Georgia residents who hold a valid out of state license must obtain
a Georgia drivers license no later than 30 days after establishing
residence. Proof of residency as well as a birth certificate are requirements
to obtain proper drivers permits. For further information, please

Once you have established residence in the state of Georgia, you must
purchase an automotive tag within 30 days. The tag office is located
in the Old Historic Courthouse in Downtown Rome located at 4 Government
